Boat Floor Repair of a 15' Flightcraft Phantom

The floor on this 15' Flightcraft Phantom was badly rotten. It had to be rebuilt ready for new seats and a new inboard motor to go in.

The floor was cut out. The hull under the floor looked in very good condition. The stringers and hull were all sanded ready for the new floor.

The old floor was made from 12mm plywood. The new floor was cut from thicker 19mm marine plywood to make it stronger and more long lasting. The owner wanted a new web placed between the floor section so he could make a storage section in the front.

The new floor and web was fibreglassed into place and the finished glass was flow coated.
