Fibreglass Repair of a Service Station Petrol Tank.

During the construction of a new service station, one of the new petrol tanks was damaged during installation into the ground. A metal bracket on top of the tank was badly damaged and required a new one fibreglassed into place.

The metal bracket was removed and the place it came from on the tank was ground and prepared for fibreglassing. The bracket was put back into place, leveled and held in place by spot bog in the corners. After the bog was hard and the bracket couldn't move, bog was put around the entire bracket ready for fibreglassing. Vinyl Ester resin was used for the fibreglassing.
