Fibreglass Repair of a Kayak.

The keel of the kayak had been very badly worn. The gelcoat was worn through in a few places, there were a couple of deep chips and numerous cuts and abrasions. There were also two pieces of gelcoat that had come off at both the top and bottom of the bow. A section of glass near the bow had been almost worn through and the thickness needed to be rebuilt.

The glass was rebuilt with chopped strand mat. The chips were filled with thickened gelcoat. The area being repaired was sanded and finished with white flow coat.
